Colorado Courses and Summer Camps - Can’t
leave for weeks on end
but still want to get away to the mountains? Our courses and summer camps are
flexible and offer a wide range of adventures in Colorado. Find one that
fits your schedule and your desires. Students are picked up in
Colorado Springs and/or Denver and are taken to the mountains
for a variety of adventures including whitewater rafting, mountaineering, kayaking, backpacking, and rock climbing. We provide all
the food, equipment, and transportation.

Learn how to climb - 4 days June 16-22 $320
This course is designed for the future rock climber, and will teach
each student the skills necessary to climb on their own. Students
learn to tie knots and set up anchors, and the proper use of
equipment. They also learn to belay and rappel, and learn proper
rescue techniques. Both sport climbing and traditional climbing
will be taught and practiced as well as some bouldering. Safety
is always emphasized. This trip is designed for the student with
a tight budget for time (it’s just one week) and money
(it’s inexpensive). If you need to work during the summer,
have other plans, or a longer trip is just not feasible, this
trip is for you. The course will cover everything one needs to
know in order to climb confidently on their own. Back

CWI Classic Adventure (3
weeks, 3 days a week) June 16-18, June 23-25, June 30-July

Nine days of rock climbing, mountain climbing, and whitewater rafting
is the perfect getaway to explore Colorado each week. Students
will learn the basics of rafting, rock climbing, and mountain
climbing, taking home the skills to go backpacking and camping
on their own. This trip is designed for the student who wants
to learn the basics of outdoor living while experiencing a variety
of adventures in the Rockies. Back

Learn How to Mountain Climb - 4 days June 26-29 $440
This course is for the future mountain climber or backpacker. These
four days are spent in the incredible San Juan’s Mountains
in southwestern Colorado. Students will spend four days mountain
climbing and learning proper climbing skills in alpine environments.
Students will learn basic backpacking skills, mountaineering
skills, the proper use of equipment, important map and compass
skills, climber teamwork, recognition and use of weather precautions,
route and trail finding, Leave No Trace principles, rescue scenarios,
climbing nutrition and diet, and much more. Back

Multi-environment Adventure - 6 days July 13-18
These six days involve both rock climbing and whitewater rafting.
Students will learn the basics of whitewater, mountain climbing,
and rock climbing, and take home the skills to go backpacking
and camping on their own. This trip is designed for the student
who wants to learn the basics of outdoor living, yet is looking
for a week of adventure in the Rockies. The style is the same
as our Classic Adventure Course, but all adventures are rolled
into one. This trip is great for the student who wants a true
adventure experiencing a variety of outdoor activities. Students
will not go home with the hard skills specific for one outdoor
environment, but will experience firsthand adventure in multiple
